Wear Your Worst: Ugly Sweater Contest
This meeting will also feature an ugly sweater contest, so wear your worst! The winner and runner-up will be chosen by Commuting Solutions staff. Don’t have an ugly sweater? Don’t worry, truly terrible holiday outfits of any kind count. The attendees with the worst will receive a gift card to a local business. Please come prepared to show off your most hideous holiday attire!
Food Collection Benefitting Sister Carmen Community Center
This time of year is all about giving. Commuting Solutions invites you to help us give back to our community by bringing items of food to donate to our food collection. All donations will go to the Sister Carmen Community Center. Sister Carmen Community Center is an organization providing comprehensive basic needs services and resources to the most vulnerable residents in East Boulder County (Lafayette, Louisville, Superior, and Erie).
Sister Carmen Community Center has provided the following list of needed items:
- Fruit: canned fruit, applesauce
- Protein: canned chicken, tuna, pinto or white beans, refried beans
- Canned Soups & Stews: chicken noodle, minestrone, etc.
- Canned Tomatoes: whole, paste, sauce, stewed, spaghetti sauce
- Pantry Items: olive oil, vegetable oil, sugar, regular flour, masa flour, herbs & spices
- Grains: pastas, cereals, crackers
- Canned Soups & Stews: hearty soups
- Toiletries: tampons, menstrual pads
- Pet Items: dog & cat food (wet/dry), dog & cat treats, cat litter
- Baby Items: formula, wipes, baby food
- Condiments: ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard
- Household Items: dish/laundry soap, trash bags, paper towels, pain relievers, vitamins
