Colorado State Highway 42
The Cities of Lafayette and Louisville are working together to envision the future of State Highway 42 (also known as 95th Street, CO 42 or Courtesy Road) for people to walk, bike, ride transit or drive. The corridor project is located from Arapahoe Road to Empire Road.
SH 42 was one of the six arterial corridors identified in the Northwest Area Mobility Study (NAMS).
Project Timeline
Phase One
The project will start with gaining an understanding of the existing conditions of the corridor. This task will involve hearing from the community about their experiences using the corridor.
Phase Two
Once the opportunities and constraints of the corridor are understood, future alternatives will be developed that each work toward achieving the collective vision for the corridor. This phase will also include screening these alternatives and creating a preferred alternative.
Phase Three
Based on the final recommendations outlined in the alternatives phase, the design team will develop a conceptual design plan for the entire corridor, detailing the major opportunities and challenges to implementing the preferred design for the corridor.
