About RTD
RTD serves as the backbone of public transportation across the Denver metro area, including communities in the northwest region. With bus and commuter rail service extending through eight counties, RTD makes it easy to travel locally or connect to major destinations like downtown Denver and Denver International Airport (DEN).
Residents and visitors alike benefit from a wide range of transit options including local and regional bus routes, on on-demand microtransit service, and a paratransit service designed for riders with disabilities.
Whether you’re heading to work, school, or exploring the region, RTD helps keep the northwest metro connected, mobile, and moving forward.
Flatiron Flyer: Fast, Reliable, Connected
RTD’s Flatiron Flyer, is the region’s first dedicated bus rapid transit (BRT) line, linking Denver and Boulder along US 36. The service connects the northwest metro area’s key destinations, including businesses, federal institutions, and the University of Colorado Boulder.
Passengers benefit from convenient access to downtown Boulder, downtown Denver, multiple stops along the US 36 corridor, the Anschutz Medical Campus, and other parts of the Denver metropolitan area.
Fast and Frequent Service
The Flatiron Flyer provides reliable service Monday through Friday with buses arriving every 4 to 15 minutes during peak hours and every 15 minutes during off-peak times. On weekends, service runs every 15 minutes during Saturday’s peak hours and every 30 minutes on Sundays.
SkyRide: Your Ride to Denver International Airport (DEN)
Skip the stress of airport parking and cruise straight to the terminal with RTD’s SkyRide service. Offering a smooth, comfortable ride from the northwest metro region to Denver International Airport (DEN), SkyRide lets you relax in HOV lanes while being dropped off right at the check-in area.
SkyRide buses are thoughtfully designed with travelers in mind. They offer ample storage options including under-seat and overhead compartments. Large under-coach bins are perfect for suitcases, skis, bikes, and other oversized gear.
From the northwest metro area, hop on the AB1 or AB2 routes to get to and from the airport with ease. Check schedules, stops, and route details anytime on the RTD website.
The B-Line (Northwest Rail): Westminster Station
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride on RTD’s B Line, the first commuter rail station to connect Union Station in Denver and Westminster Station, constructed as part of the RTD FasTracks project. Westminster Station is located at 69th Avenue and Grove Street with the station and transit plaza designed to be the central hub within the surrounding 135-acre transit-oriented development area.

Getting Started with RTD Bus and Commuter Rail Service
Get started with transit in three easy steps:
- Plan Your Trip. Plan your trip while at home or on the go! Use RTD’s Trip Planner app or download Transit App to find the route that works best for you! These apps will also provide real-time updates so you can know ahead of time if there are any delays.
- Pay Your Fare. Leave the cash at home and pay using RTD’s pre-loaded MyRide app or card. Simply create an account, add some funds, and scan your phone or card when you board the bus or train. Learn more about fare options and MyRide by visiting the RTD website.
- Ride. Now that you figured out your trip details and fare, enjoy a stress-free commute! All RTD buses are wheelchair accessible and equipped with bike racks.
