What is the FlexRide?
RTD’s FlexRide is one of the most versatile transit services available to the northwest metro area. It’s a call-ahead, on-demand neighborhood transit service ideal for connecting to other RTD services at stations and Park-n-Rides or to shopping malls, schools, businesses, recreational centers, libraries and more.
Anyone can order or schedule a FlexRide trip by calling, making reservations online or using the app. This service complements fixed bus routes to help riders complete trips between RTD stations and their final destinations, and can even be used to travel between destinations within the service area.

There are five FlexRide Service areas within the northwest metro region: Broomfield, Interlocken/Westmoor, Superior, Louisville and Longmont.

How do you use FlexRide?
You can either pre-schedule a ride ahead of time, schedule a recurring reservation or request a ride up to 10 minute before your trip. The cost is that of a local 3-hour pass: $3.00 (regular) or $1.50 (discount) and is free for those transferring from another RTD service.
To make a onetime reservation, book online at rtd-denver.com/flexride or call the FlexRide in your service area.
In some areas, there is established regularly scheduled service to schools, major activity centers and Park-n-Rides where no reservation is required. You can just wait at the FlexRide stop and get picked up.
FlexRide also offers a subscription service to schedule recurring trips with the same time and location. Once you’ve created the subscription online, RTD will pick up and drop off on your schedule for 180 days until you renew or cancel your subscription.
Where do you get tickets?
If you need a physical ticket for the FlexRide, you can purchase one at the following locations:
- Ticket vending machines at Park-n-Rides
- From your FlexRide driver
- At all RTD sales outlets
- At participating King Soopers and Safeway stores
There are also a variety of options for digital passes. You can purchase 3-hour passes, day passes or monthly passes instantly on your smartphone. Simply download the RTD Mobile Ticketing app and use your phone as your ticket.

Commuting Solutions wants to help you give the FlexRide a try. From now until December 31, you can sign up to receive a free Local RTD Day Pass on the RTD Mobile Ticketing app. Here’s how!
1) Click here to submit your email address.
2) Download the RTD Mobile Ticketing app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to your smartphone.
3) Log in to your account or create a new account on the app with the email address used to register for the day pass.
BE SURE the email you use for this account is the same one used to register for the day pass otherwise the tickets cannot be loaded into your account.
4) You will be notified via email once the pass has been added to your account.
You can verify it has been added by checking the Ticket Wallet. It will take 1-2 weeks to add the passes to your account. If it has not been loaded to your account after 2 weeks, email firstname.lastname@example.org to resolve the problem.
5) When you are ready to use the day pass, simply go into the Ticket Wallet and activate the pass.
Once activated, the pass will be good for 1 day and will expire at 2:59 a.m. the following day. The ticket will be available to be activated within your ticket wallet for 45 days after it has been sent to you. After 45 days, regardless of whether the ticket has been activated, it will expire.
