Join the 2023 Go-Tober Challenge and Earn Recognition!
It’s that time of year again! Way to Go is kicking off Go-Tober, an annual employer challenge that rewards employers for encouraging their staff to make eco-friendly commuting choices. We’re encouraging businesses to sign up for the 2023 Go-Tober Challenge and climb the leaderboard each time their employees make eco-friendly commuting choices.
Last year, 64 Denver-region organizations joined the fun, challenging employees to telework, or commute by bike, foot, transit, or carpool! Together these efforts saved nearly $74,000 in commuting costs and protecting our air from about 50 tons of carbon emissions. Nearly 600 participants found eco-friendly alternatives to driving alone covering nearly 150,000 miles total, with 27,000 miles biked or walked. That is 45 times the length of the Colorado Trail from Denver to Durango!
Let’s make this year’s Go-Tober Challenge an even bigger success! Sign up using at https://waytogo.org/gotober and spend the month of October encouraging your employees to take and track eco-friendly trips for the chance to win prizes. Businesses with the most participation will get recognition in a media buy. In September, Way to Go will reach out to all registered Go-Tober coordinators with a toolkit you can use to promote Go-Tober with your staff.
