Commuting Solutions Partners with Superior for Summertime Ride-Along Series

Downtown Superior Sign

Attention Downtown Superior residents! We have some fun learning events and opportunities throughout the summer — with you in mind.

Downtown Superior Modes, Commuting Solutions’ exciting new partnership with the Town of Superior and Downtown Superior, came about as a way to reduce vehicle trips to and from Superior’s new Downtown — a mixed-use development featuring housing, office, and entertainment venues.

The program and partnership were created to foster a community-oriented lifestyle centered around positive travel behaviors that will make less of an impact on the environment, nearby US 36, and surrounding roads.

The Superior Summertime Ride-Along series includes training for Downtown Superior residents and special events to encourage car-free movement and travel options.

During July, August and September, Commuting Solutions will host Bike and Ride Meetups and Walk-and-Learns for the Superior Summertime Ride-Along series.

Join Commuting Solutions and your neighbors in fun, easy group activities that will give you a firsthand experience of the benefits of using more sustainable ways to move around Superior.

Bike and Ride Meetups

On the second Wednesdays of July, August and September, let’s meet and go for a ride! Join us for a casual ride that will showcase the ease of traveling by bike to and from Downtown Superior. You will have firsthand experience with sustainable modes of getting around town.

The one-hour ride, led by local cycling guides, begins with a meetup at HangryHorse Café then cycles through the neighborhood and portions of the community. Snacks will be provided at the end of the ride.

Dates: July 13, August 10, September 14

When: 6:00pm-7:30pm every 2nd Wednesday.

These events are free, but please register for the events in advance here to participate.

Walk-And-Learns: All About RTD Transit

On the fourth Wednesdays, join Commuting Solutions for an overview of using the RTD with a Walk-and-Learn.

These are active workshops where you can find out how to use RTD transit and about the many benefits of using public transportation for commuting and travel.

The Walk-and-Learns include a 30-minute presentation followed by an easy walking tour to the US 36 and McCaslin Station.

Dates: July 27, August 24, September 28 — the fourth Wednesdays of July, August and September

When/Where: Always at 6:00 – 7:30pm, Downtown Superior at US 36 and McCaslin
