A community ride along the U.S. 36 bikeway is set for Saturday to celebrate the opening of the 18-mile bike path along the Boulder-Denver corridor.
The community ride will start at 9:30 a.m. in the Avista Adventist Hospital parking lot in Louisville at 100 Health Park Drive and end at the RTD Table Mesa Station in Boulder for activities that will conclude at noon.
All ages and skill levels can attend, and there will be booths, speakers and giveaways at both ends of the ride.
“The U.S. 36 bikeway makes cycling in the corridor easy and enjoyable, and we hope that our upcoming community ride introduces even more riders to the offerings of this new path,” Commuting Solutions Executive Director Audrey DeBarros said in a statement. “We are delighted to see years of advocacy and hard work reveal a safe and accessible highway for cyclists.”
