Who We Are

Commuting Solutions is dedicated to delivering innovative transportation options that connect commuters to their workplaces, businesses to their employees, and residents to their communities. We advocate for infrastructure and transportation improvements, create essential partnerships and educate citizens. Our work is to provide progressive, flexible and sustainable transportation solutions that also reduce emissions and mitigate the impacts of climate change.

Accomplishments & Awards

  • Helped secure $497 million to construct the US 36 Express Lanes Project, leading to the construction of bi-directional Express Lanes, Flatiron Flyer Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Service and the 18-mile US 36 Bikeway. The project was awarded the 2016 Project of the Year Award by the American Road & Transportation Builders Association.
  • Initiated the first segment of the B-Line rail service, formerly known as Northwest Rail.
  • Currently implementing top recommendations from the US 36 First and Final Mile Study including: expanding branded wayfinding signage along the US 36 corridor and constructing Bike-n-Ride Shelters at nine US 36 RTD Stations.
  • Awarded the Association for Commuter Transportation’s 2015 Marketing and Outreach Partnership Award
  • Awarded the Association for Commuter Transportation’s 2015 Outstanding Transportation Management Association (TMA)
  • Awarded the Association for Commuter Transportation’s 2015 Excellence in Advocacy
  • Award for our work identifying funding for the US 36 Express Lanes Project
  • Awarded the Superior Chamber of Commerce’s 2015 Independent Business of the Year
  • Awarded the Association for Commuter Transportation’s 2018 Excellence in Advocacy Award for our Transportation Matters Business Initiative

On August 30, Commuting Solutions hosted the 7th Sustainable Transportation Summit – Transportation Innovations Bringing People together at the Longmont Museum and Cultural Center. Experts, elected officials and enthusiasts of climate-friendly transportation gathered to discuss innovative ideas about passenger rail development and expansion in our region.
